Hi!

I'm Jorge.

I live on the outskirts of Leiria with the Love of my life, Isa, and our little one, Gonçalo.

I have a memory that doesn't always preserve what I want as I would like it to. At a certain point in my life I realized the power that photography has to help my memories.

When I combined this with the fact that the best memories we have are associated with the Love we share with someone, I decided it was time to start photographing just that!

I decided to be the kind of person that anyone would like to have at their wedding, a presence that helps you enjoy the day in the best way possible and save the memories of this special time so that you can remember it as much as possible!

When I'm not working I love spending time with my family and, yes, photographing us.

I'm a fan of PC games that I fit into my free time and I also know too many Star Wars lines by heart as a result of having lost count of how many times I've seen the films.

Love is what matters most

I really believe this.

So much so that, despite it taking longer than I would have liked to find my ideal person, my greatest happiness is being able to share my life with her.

Isa and I got married in 2020 (yes, the year of the pandemic!) and it was an adventure. Needless to say, there were a lot of things about our wedding that didn't go exactly as we had planned, but honestly, we were getting married, celebrating our Love, and we were happy about it.

This is to say that I photograph different types of weddings, some more elegant and others not so much, some with more unexpected events and others less, but honestly that part is not what matters most.

What I like to see and photograph are couples in love, the kind in which the Love and affection for each other are clear and unmistakable.

Weddings where guests are there to share the happiness of seeing friends Love each other and not because they "have to go".

These things are what is important for good wedding parties and good photographs.

How did I get here

My father has always taken photographs. When I was young, one of the things we did together was go to air shows and photograph the planes.

I took my first photography course one summer when I was still in high school, people still took pictures on film and I loved photographing my friends.

But then I left photography aside, still without realizing its value.

Meanwhile, life happened, I followed another passion, the one for airplanes, which I photographed with my father, and I became a pilot in the Portuguese Air Force.

It was about 13 years of my life, but I reached a point where I realized that it wasn't what I wanted to do until I retired.

Photography was a great hobby at that time and since I had already realized how important it was, I decided that I had to change some things in my life.

I took advantage of the fact that I was based near Lisbon, and did my professional photography course at ETIC, already thinking about a possible career change.

In October 2014 I left the Air Force and turned an important page.

It was that year that I photographed my first wedding.

Skipping forward all these years, I can say that I am very happy with my choices.

I found my Love because of these choices and thanks to the fantastic couples who hire me I continue to witness that Love exists and is in good health!

Life right now

Isa and I are first-time parents, which has been a huge learning experience but at the same time a lot of fun.

Our Gonçalo is almost two years old and is already starting to show his personality!

The days go by so quickly when you have kids and I find myself wishing there was a magic pause button!

In addition to my regular photography work, I have also continued to improve the different ways I can help new fellow photographers grow in this field.

I'm interested in growing this part of education, especially as it relates to the systems we use to manage our work.
