PHOTOGRAPHY TRAINING

Mentoring, workshops and more!

I, like many of you, got into photography 100% out of passion and only later did I make it my profession.

The thing is, if we're not careful, the professional aspect can override the passion for taking photographs and we'll end up not enjoying what we do.

For this reason, my mindset has always been: "this business has to be SUSTAINABLE, both financially and personally."

The things I learned about making a business sustainable didn't come from my professional photography course, unfortunately. Some came from my professional past in another field, and others I learned myself through training and experience during more than 10 years of professional photography.

Now I want to be able to pass this knowledge on to you, so that more people can enjoy doing this job of taking photos and videos and at the same time keep their passion alive!

CHATTING
ON PODCASTS

I really enjoy listening to podcasts, it's something I do regularly whether I'm editing photos, playing sports or shopping at the supermarket.

They are a great source of learning and we can find conversations on a wide range of topics.

I've also been invited to a couple of them and if you want to hear what I said here's a list on Spotify.

STUDIO NINJA

Studio Ninja is a CRM (Client Relationship Manager) and is one of the best systems we can have in our business!

Are you tired of writing the same emails over and over again, having to manually send contracts and questionnaires to your clients?
Are you at risk of forgetting to manually write down a date on your calendar?

So this is the kind of system you need.

It takes some time to set up at first, that's for sure, but that's why I've created some options to help you out.

SUSTAINABILITY AND HAPPINESS

If you think of a professional photographer or videographer and think that it is mandatory to be editing images at 3 am in front of the computer, I am here to show you a different perspective.

When we start photographing our first jobs and the number of clients start to increase, we realize how many things there are to do as a professional in this field.

The exchange of emails, sending of quotes, contracts, and meetings, all this before even taking the photos. And then comes the selection, editing, delivery of the photos, printing, albums... and the list goes on!

How do we turn this to-do list into something we can do consistently and sustainably, without losing our minds or sleep?

The answer is this: SYSTEMS!

Systems can be created in many different ways, the important thing is to have one and use it!

Two important systems I use are:

  • Studio Ninja - a CRM for managing clients and jobs

  • Pic-Time - online galleries for photo and video delivery

THE YOUTUBE CHANNEL

Something I also do as a creative exercise are the videos I put on my YouTube channel.

There are some related to the various systems I talk about here and others more focused on helping couples with tips before the sessions or the wedding.

The goal is to add things to the content that might be interesting for those who work in photography and video and also for my clients.

PIC-TIME

I've been using this platform since 2019 and over time it has gotten better and better.

Gone are the days of submitting work with a Wetransfer or Google Drive link. This platform looks professional, is practical for us photographers and delights clients.

Highly configurable, it also includes a store that can bring us additional income by selling printed products, without having to rush to print and send the photos.

If you need help getting started or improving your Pic-Time setup, I have a few options for you!
