So here we are again on the 1st of August, and just like in 2020, that was Elena and Fábio's day in 2021 as well!
Last year we went for a stroll in Lisbon, after their civil wedding, which you can see here!
After that adjustment due to the pandemic, this year the religious ceremony took place in Leiria, it was bigger and it wasn't just a wedding, because their family became bigger meanwhile! ;)
They got ready in the morning and tied the knot at the Nossa Senhora da Encarnação church, with a view over Leiria, and there were a lot of people there that only got the chance to witness last year's even from the photos.
It was a beautiful wedding and baptism ceremony, their little one was showered with holy water and they were showered with rice!
After a trip very close together from the church to the Quinta de Santo António do Freixo, in a very cute Citroen 2CV, they introduced their new family member to many friends and relatives that hadn't yet had the chance to meet him and they also exchanged news and stories of an out of the ordinary year.
Little A.'s godmother and godfather helped with the cake cutting and made one of the many toasts of the day with the bride and groom. They also helped with keeping an eye on the little one while I took the bride and groom for some portraits around the venue. ;)
The entertainers, K7 Pirata, got everyone moving and the party continued into the night, the newlyweds showed off their dance steps and many others joined them on the dance floor.
Since Elena and Fábio are quite the adventurers we had another chance to go for a stroll, a few days after the wedding, on some more or less hidden roads and at the beach in S. Pedro de Moel.
I think we created some good memories together. :)
